SUE SALVEMINI, FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Sue brings over 25 years of corporate and military experience developing leaders, building teams, launching medical device products and businesses. She has done this by repeatedly creating a clear vision, establishing an achievable plan and executing.  As a leader, Sue understands the value of developing people for growth and productivity. Leadership starts with how you lead yourself and Sue is passionate about taking personal accountability and ownership for your development and successful career navigation.

Sue holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts and a Masters of Education in Human Resources and Organizational Change from Boston University. She is an iPEC Certified Professional Coach and a Certified Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner. Additionally, Sue has worked extensively with Myers Briggs™, DISC™ and Situational Leadership™ models.

Spending her professional career serving as an officer in the United States Army and subsequently in Fortune 500 companies to early-stage medical device start-ups, Sue’s diverse experience in Sales, Marketing and Product Development provides her with an appreciation and understanding from multiple perspectives, roles and responsibilities.

When not conducting workshops, consulting on business strategy or coaching high performing executives, you will find Sue thoroughly engaged in cheering for her three teenagers at soccer tournaments and track meets, playing a good game of Gin Rummy with her husband of 20 years, or hopping into an occasional Tough Mudder™ for the exercise and fun of it!

Identify your Goals
Before you get started working with a coach, take time to reflect on your objectives for the coaching engagement. Being clear on your goals will help you determine the best program for you.

Find the Right Coach
The relationship you develop with your coach will be critical to your success, so take time to explore this relationship. Not every coach is the right fit for the client, and not every client is the right fit for the coach. This is a partnership and to achieve success both parties must be in synch!

At Focal Pointe we take time to understand more about you, your goals, and your communication preferences while sharing a bit about our background, coaching style and approach. This is typically done over a preliminary phone call or two, and is at no charge. In this time you will have the opportunity to experience first-hand, what an engagement would look and feel like. Simultaneously, the coach will be able to authentically assess if s/he is the best fit to meet your needs. Remember, in coaching, the relationship is about following your agenda – our success is measured on yours! So these preliminary calls are expected and welcomed and serve a mutual benefit to ensure a great fit and a pathway towards the success you desire.

Choose a Program
You know your initial goals, you have found your coach, now it is time to move to action. Each coach offers a variety of services and options. At Focal Pointe we will work with you to determine the best program to meet your needs. There is no “BEST” or “BETTER” program – other than finding exactly the right one for you.

SCHEDULE TIME WITH SUE

“We initially engaged Sue for a leadership assessment with the intent to build a stronger, more focused leadership team. We thought, much like other leadership assessments we researched, this would be one possibly two workshops and we would then be on our own. After one meeting, we realized what Sue could bring to the organization, and have now engaged her numerous times with ongoing plans for additional workshops and individual coaching.

Sue’s passion is contagious, her ability to step in and make herself part of the company, truly get to know the mission, values and staff, is a gift. She has a clear vision of business standards of practice paired with deep compassion for individuals and the ability to draw out the best. She brings focus, energy and joy to her work, you can’t help but feel energized when working with Sue.”
